The opportunity to work with Michelle Bishop and the Elle’s Closet team was a butterfly’s
moment for me for sure. The brand and community that Michelle has created with her boutique is one that I admire greatly. She has a way of being real, inspiring, bold, approachable, and for better or worse make you want every single outfit she features in her Instagram feed and stories! I have followed this company for some time now. I was thrilled when they opened a pop up in Kingsway and then sad when their time there was done and then elated when they opened their permanent storefront on the 124th Street shopping district in Edmonton!
Businesses like Elle’s Closet and business owners like Michelle both inspire me and fill me up. I am inspired because of the beautiful community they create both with clients and their team (which is really more like family), inspired because of the remarkable
connection they have been able to make with the people that enter their boutique, as well as the unique and on point brand that has been created and impact they have. They fill me up because the stories behind the business run so deep and true to who they are, they share with so much openness and support, and each interaction is heartfelt and about building a relationship.
I have been honoured to be apart of three events at Elle’s, all of which have been focused around building community and spoiling the clientele that have been so supportive and integral to their growth. The heart of this business has shone brightly in each event as they have supported local organizations including Suit Yourself, Athabasca Santa’s Anonymous, and Bissell Centre. The volume of donations we collected for each organization spoke volumes about the generosity of the clientele of Elle’s Closet.
The events featured delicious treats made by local companies including More Fun! Gourmet Sweets, Macarons & Goodies, and wine served by the lovely Gabby Rossouw of Hicks Fine Wines. All décor was included to create ambience while remaining completely on brand, and this ambience has always been topped off by the vocal talents of local Edmonton musician, Connor Shaw. The boutiques are filled with so much fun, excitement, and beautiful energy and it truly is the best girls' night out!
If you haven’t yet checked out Elle’s Closet I encourage you to visit their 124th Street Edmonton boutique or Athabasca boutique. Know that you will be provided the highest quality service, that you will be appreciated and looked after, and that you are supporting a company that walks in its values every day. You can find them on Instagram @ellesclosetboutique on Facebook @ellesclosetboutiqueandbeauty and online (where you can also shop!!) at www.ellesclosetboutique.com
